The Washington Times add:
"But, E!Online said, under the terms of the $50 million contract Chappelle signed last summer, he's supposedly locked into a production deal with the network through 2006."

Hmmmm.. I wonder what would happen if Dave decides to break his contract or whatever? :-D

Report: Dave Chappelle shows up unannounced at comedy clubs

Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - Is Dave Chappelle back?

The AWOL comedian dropped in unannounced at two popular comedy clubs Thursday night, saying he had just arrived in Los Angeles and felt like performing, Daily Variety reported Friday.

Chappelle served up some impromptu standup to stunned audiences at the Hollywood Improv and the Comedy Store, the trade paper said.

Chappelle, 31, took off last month to South Africa for a "spiritual retreat," leaving his fans - and even his agent and publicist - wondering where he went.

After Comedy Central announced that the planned May 31 debut of the third season of "Chappelle's Show" had been postponed, the magazine Entertainment Weekly reported that Chappelle had checked himself into a mental health facility in South Africa.

But Chappelle denied checking into a mental facility or having a drug problem in an interview with Time magazine.

Instead, he fled to stay with friends in Durban because he wasn't happy with the direction of the show, which is behind only "South Park" as Comedy Central's most-watched program.

Calls to Chappelle's publicist and Comedy Central were not immediately returned Friday morning.

An unnamed Comedy Central representative told Variety that network officials would be sitting down with Chappelle to talk business "really, really soon."

I was going through my Chappelle's Show clips and I remembered I thought THIS was funny...

This is a pic from the Makin' the Band skit. P Diddy asks a woman (I forgot her name) if she is gonna use up all of her minutes... I thought this was one of the funniest things I have seen. What helps it make it even funnier is that I have seen Puff make these kinds of faces...

If you want me to post anymore pics.. I will see if I have them and post them :) Just ask by commenting here and I will see if I have it. Gotta tell me the season and episode, or a desc. of the skit :) I have the 1st season on dvd too :)

The picture behind cut....Collapse )

A few weeks ago I was talking to someone about the show. He mentioned of this one skit that I guess was really raunchy or whatever. He couldn't tell me which episode it was, but he was able to tell me it had something to do with a SUBWAY somehow.. Any clues are ideas as to what skit, episode, season it might be?

(NOTE: Dave lives about an hour away from Columbus, Ohio) Don't stalk him :P

Dave Chappelle's South African "spiritual retreat" has apparently reached its conclusion.

The Comedy Central stalwart, whose disappearance, alleged mental breakdown and sane and crack-free reemergence have been well chronicled, has reportedly returned to Yellow Springs, Ohio, where he makes his home for part of the year.

Residents of the small town have spotted the Chappelle's Show namesake running errands around town and generally going about his business since last week.

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of Dave Chappelle's "What It's Worth"? It's the comedy special that came on Showtime in like Fall 2004. In September, I think.

~Thanks~

Dave Chappelle's wife in skit???? [May. 21st, 2005|11:07 pm]
Chappelle's Show

luv2belds97
From the second season, episode 9. Aired March 17, 2004 I think. It is the same show when Oprah says she is pregnant with Dave's baby. And he quits his job, etc.

Remember when Dave says he hates it when people come up to him and try and give him ideas for his show. Was the woman sitting with him at the table in that one his wife???? She was the one dreaming about having sex with Anthony Anderson... I know she is asian and he DID refer to her as his wife... so I was just wondering :-D
